Special Lecture on ‘ Gender Perspective of Language’

The School organized a lecture on the ‘Gender Perspective of Language’ on 5 March 2024 to teach students a conceptual understanding of gender and patriarchy. Dr. Kamran Ahsan spoke about different modes of patriarchal subordination of women. He highlighted gender bias concerns in language that perpetuates patriarchal hegemony and subordination of women. The lecture highlighted the use of gender- neutral and gender-sensitive vocabulary.
