B.SC. (Forensic Science) Students Visit Forensic Science Laboratory, New Delhi
GD Goenka School of Engineering students from B.Sc. (H) Forensic Science program visited Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini, New Delhi on 26th October, 2016. The Forensic Science Laboratory Delhi is a dynamic multi-disciplinary organization which aids the legal system with its advance infrastructure. The various divisions of FSL, Delhi such as chemical, physical, biological, questioned documents and forensic psychology divisions are responsible for timely delivery of the expert opinion.
The students visited various divisions of FSL such as Questioned document, Photography, Forensic Psychology (Polygraph lab), Computer Forensic, Ballistics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics divisions.Students learnt about various questioned documents, writing material and examination of documents; police and forensic photography, their application in other divisions; polygraph test; various firearm and ammunition; different drug of abuse material, their examination in viscera, analysis of different compound through various instrumental analytical techniques; examination of physical evidences etc.
GD Goenka School of Engineering offers B.Sc. honors degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Forensic Science. Industrial/research lab visits, guest lectures, hands-on workshops and project based learning are some of the highlights of these programs
